for this week's class we presented about the photographers/practitioners we were assigned to. my group is Wolfgang Tillmans, a german photographer.
I find his photographs interesting because he finds beauty in the mundane, like his "Still Life" series. Not only that, he also uses photograph to speak up on his beliefs. for example, his "End of Broadcast"series that speaks about the issue of censorship at that time. This series is a work of protest and also a reminder. His works often makes you think and reflect.
another interesting fact i found out while researching about wolfgang tillmans is that he was the one who photographed Frank Ocean's iconic "Blond" album cover! how amazing!!!!
