we were split into groups to do analyse and study an article and then to make a handout from it. for my group, we analysed a chapter from a book called Photography and Language by Clive Scott. the chapter is titled "The Magazine Story: The Rise and Decline of a Genre"

To summarise, this chapter talks about the origin of photo story and how it was a genre that was popular amongst women, especially women, during the post-war era. besides that, the author addresses the comparison between comic strips with photo story. the author also mentioned the things that photo story are lacking/need to be improved on and the cause of decline of this genre. i think it's helpful because learning photo story's pros and cons helps me to be able to plan mine better in terms of the photo sequence, storyline and even the character blocking.
