as the new year rolls in, the new sem does too.. :-] sem break felt like it went by like the wind. the core subject for this sem is GDC pt.2 which is what i expected but what i did not expect was that there will be a change in lecturers and that was a surprise to everyone!! (hello mr azri if you are reading this haha)
to kickstart the first week of classes, we had an ice breaking session which was really fun as despite knowing my classmates i loved reading their answers and also mr azri found us amusing lol.
besides, we also learned about our project briefs and the first 2 projects we're working on right now are "Everything About One Thing" (EAOT) and "1000 words about someone". I'm excited to work on them but also nervous as the deadlines are not that far away T__T
as usual, I started off with trying to understand the briefs by reading them again and then I created mind maps for idea dumping, to see if there are any potential ones I could use.
for my 1000 words about someone, I wanted to focus on someone with a creative hobby/pursue and so I listed down some of the people i'm close to and what they do. After getting feedback from tutorial, I decided to proceed with Zahra and her skateboarding! Looking forward to see what I can do for the spread layout.
as for my EAOT, i also did a (rather simple) mind map of different aspects and listing down topics/things that interest me and i would want to delve deeper into. afterwards i condense it even more and wrote down a list of "maybe" topics:
well after my first tutorial, i figured that maybe i didn't quite fully understood EAOT's brief as I thought so I'll have to rework on that ! !
