my final project is a map that looks like a newspaper but instead of printing it on actual newspaper material, I printed it on fabric. the reason behind this is because newspaper material doesn't last long whereas fabric does. and for a map, it should be able to last long.
i bought my cloth material from a shop called Nagoya that sells many types of cloth for a cheap price. for fabric printing, it seems that polyester material works best because it prints on it perfectly and the colour comes out vibrant. below shows the process of fabric printing using heat press. i got it printed with the help of Ms Frida :-)
after getting it printed on, i went to get my fabric cut neatly and then get all the sides sewn so there won't be any frayed threads coming out.
