during today's coexist class, we were briefed on INTI's ICAD Design Day for 2020 that will be taking place on the 4th of May. The theme this year is "Reiterate Bearings".
"reiterate" means to repeat something for emphasis
"bearings" means understanding of direction to know your position
the theme this year is "Reiterate Bearings" to emphasise on ICAD's manifestos/values which are Ethical Design, Industrial Relations, Multidisciplinary Practice and Competitive Edge.
a series of thought provoking questions, that are related to the values of ICAD, were created to help get the project started. we were split into groups and each group has to answer to 1 question.
my group is group 1 and our question is:
Harvesting a Learning Curve from Start to Submission: How does taking part in design competitions prove essential for design students for their career advancement?
so far, we've made a group chat with all the members and discussed on when to do our group discussion, which will be this friday. :-D until then, we'll do some research on the topic on our own so we don't waste time!
