sew, a needle pulling thread

so we had a face-to-face workshop at block z and i think it was a lot of fun because we got to do some hands-on work. >:)

first, we were demonstrated on how we can do fabric printing using heat transfer. apparently the heat transfer fabric printing works best on polyester cloth material, as the colour that appears on the cloth will be as vibrant as the original artwork. *__*

we also learned how to do fabric embroidery using the sewing machine! super cool and seemed like a really fun process once you get the hang of it. apparently controlling the speed is like driving but i can't drive so maybe that's why i wasn't that great at it :,-D however, i would definitely love to try it out more times if i get the opportunity to do so !!!!

here are some pics >>> of my friends attempting at it (and also quite good at controlling the speed)

afterwards, we learned some sewing techniques so we can do fabric stitching and collaging~ i think as a person who cannot sew to save her life, this part of the workshop helped me a lot for the next step.

i'm sorry.......but these are the only pics i took of me doing my fabric collage bc i was too focused on it! i promise to post a nice picture of the collage when i finish it ^__^
