for this week's class, we were told to bring clay and a tripod stand for the stop motion workshop!
during this workshop we learned a few animation principles, which are:
1. Squash and Stretch: this technique makes the object longer/flatter to show the flexibility and also stiffness of an object
2. Anticipation: this is used to build up a moment for the audience to anticipate the character's next movement and also to make the movement more realistic
3. Slow In and Slow Out: this method is when a character does something and it starts slow and ends slowly to make the action look more realistic and less mechanical
4. Arc : this helps make the character's movement look more believable
to help us make the stop motion video, we downloaded the stop motion studio app!!

i won't be using stop motion for my animation but it's interesting to learn all the principles so that i can apply it when i draw my animation digitally :-) it helps make the animation look smoother and less stiff
